Alliance Annual Meeting Scholarship Application

The Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions is hosting its Virtual Annual Meeting on November 15-28, 2021. We are excited to offer a limited number of scholarships to subsidize the registration cost for Alliance Annual Meeting attendees from organization’s with limited funding or who are from a historically underrepresented group within the responsible seafood movement. The Alliance wants to enable individuals from diverse backgrounds to join the Annual Meeting and have their voices heard.

MEETING INFO: The Annual Meeting will will bring together leaders and international experts from across the sustainable seafood movement in a series of dynamic sessions and workshops. All sessions will be hosted in English will be held ‘live’ from 11:00am-5:00pm Eastern Standard Time. However, all meeting sessions will be recorded and accessible to registered attendees for three months following the event as well.

SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarships will subsidize the amount of registration fees by 66%, reducing the cost of an individual registration to $50/person.

ELIGIBILITY: Meeting attendees from a historically underrepresented group or sector within the movement are eligible for the scholarship, as are those from small organizations with limited funding. Individuals who identify with one of the following groups are strongly encouraged to apply:

  1. individuals that engage with workers or worker rights’ groups and
  2. people of color, people with disabilities and people who identify on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

APPLICATION: To apply for a scholarship, please complete the form below as soon as possible. The Alliance staff will evaluate applications based on answers to the form below, with preference given to those that meet the “encouraged to apply” description. Applications will be reviewed on October 1 and November 1 and applicants will be informed following those review cycles. All information obtained from this form will remain confidential to the Alliance staff and will be aggregated and anonymized if reported on externally.
