Samantha Renshaw

Samantha Renshaw has been working at Ocean Wise as a Sustainable Fisheries and Seafood Science Manager since August 2021. Her Sustainable Fisheries & Seafood team aims to engage with small-scale fisheries across Canada and globally to support sustainable livelihoods better.

Her work is seeking to develop a framework for incorporating Indigenous knowledge into fisheries sustainability assessments by partnering with local communities. Before that, she worked as a Research Assistant at Dalhousie University’s Integrated Fisheries Lab and has a background in Marine Biology and Management.
