We’re thrilled to meet you in Hawai’i and want you to make the most of your time there!

Please see below for descriptions of the optional self-paid activities offered throughout the conference and the Friday morning following our close. Below the descriptions, you will find the form to submit your interest and begin the booking process. Prices per attendee are listed at the top.

Note: Some activities are subject to meeting booking minimums (i.e., 10 people must sign up to book the experience for us to be able to accommodate). We will be in touch with all interested participants in the lead-up to these events to confirm if and when we reach the minimums. No payment or deposits will be required until these field trips are confirmed.

Location: Boat departs from Anaeho’omalu Bay (“A-Bay”), directly behind the hotel. Please be at the bay by 4:15 PM.
Host Partner: Hawaii Nautical 

Description: Sail on the 54-foot Catamaran, the iconic “Spirit of Aloha,” for the ultimate in sailing comfort. Enjoy the ocean breeze and relaxation of a stunning Kona-Kohala sunset from as close as you can get. Come in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting wet. Trip ends after sunset!

Sail includes an appetizer plate, snacks, unlimited water, soft drinks, and juice, and two alcoholic beverages for all guests age 21 and over.

Booking & Payment Process: Submit this form, and the Marriott Concierge team will reach out to you within two business days to provide all details and process payment.

The 2025 CASS Conference WhatsApp group will host a chat for anyone interested in coordinating with fellow attendees to participate in the snorkel.

Host Partner: Kahu Keoloha Kaopua & Kahu Taimane Kaopua

Description: Hosted by the Alliance DEI Committee, partake in an introductory Ho’oponopono workshop facilitated by two community elders, Kahu Keoloha Kaopua & Kahu Taimane Kaopua. Ho’oponopono is an ever-evolving practice that guides one to use introspection and forgiveness to bring harmony to all relationships and parts of one’s life.

Participants will need to bring a towel and be dressed in beach shorts and tops. You will partake in a pikai as part of the session and receive a booklet on the history of this Hawaiian healing art and kukui nut lei to indicate your completion.

Booking & Payment Process: A minimum of ten people is required to host this workshop. No payment will be processed until the workshop is confirmed.

Please submit your interest using this form. The conference team will confirm with you once we reach the threshold to move forward. At that point, participants will reserve their place by making a payment to the facilitators via Venmo. The deadline to register is October 1, 2025.

Location: Boat departs from Anaeho’omalu Bay (“A-Bay”), directly behind the hotel. Please be at the bay by 8:40 AM.
Host Partner: Hawaii Nautical 

Description: Set sail on the Spirit of Aloha for a relaxing and scenic tour and a refreshing snorkel stop. Try to spot dolphins, sea turtles, and other marine life! A Lifeguard-certified crew will provide in-water assistance. The excursion also provides a required safety vest, sanitized facilities, and reusable snorkel gear. Please bring towels, swimsuits, hats, and non-spray reef-safe sunscreen.

A sandwich and unlimited water, soft drinks, and juice are included. The outing also provides two alcoholic beverages for all guests age 21 and over.

Capacity: 25 participants (First-come, first-served)
Location: Blue Ocean Mariculture – Transportation to and from the net pen site is the responsibility of the attendee.
Host Partner: Maricultura del océano azul 

Description: Get up close and personal with the Blue Ocean Mariculture (BOM) net pens, located about half an hour from the hotel! Attendees will travel by boat to visit BOM’s open ocean farm and see the submerged SeaStations in action. The tour will highlight BOM’s feeding and harvest processes, as well as the innovative technology used to monitor and manage farm operations. It’s a unique opportunity to learn how Blue Ocean Mariculture raises Hawaiian Kanpachi sustainably and successfully in the deep waters off Kona. This will be an out-of-water experience, followed by a dive adventure just around the corner in Keahole Bay, where BOM’s fish are grown.

Booking & Payment Process: A minimum of twelve people is required to book this activity. No payment will be processed until the activity is confirmed.
