We connect and uplift a diverse, international network of over 180 members across 30 countries committed to advancing responsible seafood. Position Summary:
The Operations Coordinator will provide essential operational, event, and communications support to ensure the smooth execution of the Alliance’s initiatives. They will manage scheduling, logistics, and financial processes, support the coordination of in-person and virtual events, communications and community-building efforts. With strong organizational skills and attention to detail, this role will enhance the Alliance’s ability to convene leaders, foster collaboration, and drive meaningful progress toward its mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Support
- Using multiple platforms (Zoom, Google Suite, HubSpot, WordPress, Canva), support team and community call/event scheduling and activities
- Support Executive Director with coordinating Alliance Board Meetings, deadlines, communications
- Provide meeting note-taking and distribution, support agenda development
- Expense reconciliation for monthly team expenses, manage organization subscriptions, manage member travel expense reimbursement processes
- Support fundraising efforts by helping with prospect research, proposal and reporting review, etc.
- Assist in troubleshooting problems and issues as they relate to daily operational activities
- Event Planning
- Support in-person event logistics planning by serving as key contact for speaker coordination, session planning, hotel/food and beverage
- Research locations and venues for in-person events
- Manage all other in-person event logistics, such as hotel room blocks, team and member travel expense reconciliation, transportation coordination, catering
- Plan team meetings/retreats
- Comunicaciones
- Write and distribute monthly newsletters, blogs, and press releases
- Manage LinkedIn profile, creating and engaging with content
- Make necessary and timely updates to website
- Manage member platform, the Global Hub Online, facilitating and prompting connection amongst members
- Manage member survey distribution and analysis
- Graphic design of external communications using Canva templates
- Community Engagement
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering capacity-building courses, workshops, webinars, and events including logistics, recruitment, etc.
- Manage portfolio of virtual networks, including online spaces, surveys, member lists, and schedules, and provide prompts for continued engagement, identifying possible collaborative projects
- Measurement and Evaluation
- Lead the schedule of M+E touchpoints for the strategic plan, capturing and organizing data
- Frequently communicate with the Executive Director to share project progress or challenges; openly communicate with the Alliance team to stay informed of the organization’s full swath of work
- Wear many hats as part of the lean Alliance staff team, with a commitment to working nimbly to advance the work of the Alliance’s mission.

Specific Experience Requested:
We recognize that each applicant for this role will bring unique skills, knowledge, experiences, and background to this position, lending their flair to the trajectory of this role. We welcome diverse experiences and perspectives in our applicant pool, and will be looking for candidates who possess many, but not necessarily all, of the following qualifications and experience:
- At least three (3) years of experience in an administrative or project coordinator role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a sensitivity to equity and cultural nuances
- Experienced in a variety of technology platforms, including Google applications (Zoom, Google Suite, HubSpot) and ideally in creative platforms such as Canva and WordPress
- Basic knowledge of seafood sustainability a plus, but not required
- The ability to travel domestically in the United States and internationally
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
The Alliance offers excellent workplace flexibility by allowing staff members to work remotely. We do ask that staff members commit to working the majority of their hours in a US time zone to help streamline call/meeting time windows. Staff members must also have the flexibility to work outside those time zones on occasion to accommodate calls with international participants.
Workplace, Compensation, and How to Apply
Workplace:
All team members work from home offices with occasional travel (2-3 times per year) for in-person team meetings and Alliance events.
Compensation:
Multiplier provides a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary of $55,000 – $65,0000, excellent medical and dental benefits, retirement savings, and generous vacation and sick leave policy.
