Alan McCulla

Alan McCulla OBE has extensive experience in the seafood sector. For over 30 years, he was Chief Executive of the Anglo-North Irish Fish Producers’ Organisation, where he worked closely on fishing safety, labour conditions and supply-chain transparency. As Programme Director for the International Fund for Fishing Safety (IFFS), Alan has helped shape and promote a funding model that supports practical, locally led safety projects, particularly in the Global South and among smaller-scale fishers. He also serves as Secretariat of the Fishing Industry Safety and Health (FISH) Platform, a world-leading network of fishing safety experts with more than 130 members across 40 countries.
