Every year, the Alliance convenes its members from leading NGOs, businesses, foundations, and academia, united in the belief that if we work together, responsible seafood production and trade can protect our ocean and the people who depend on it. Join us October 21-23 in Waikoloa, Hawaii, for our annual member gathering.

Registration fees include the Aloha Reception (Tuesday, October 21), Hawaiian Moth Storytelling Session (Wednesday, October 22), and the 5-10-15 Anniversary Celebration Dinner (Thursday, October 23).  

To support the attendance of community members who hold marginalized identities historically underrepresented in the responsible seafood movement, we are proud to offer scholarships that will subsidize the registration and/or travel costs for three attendees. The deadline to book your room at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott and receive the special conference rate is September 12, 2025. Please note that there are a very limited number of rooms available pre- and post-event that will be first come, first served.

JADWAL ACARA

Over 50 Alliance members will lead conversations about the most urgent issues and opportunities in the seafood sector. Our speakers will guide us in discussions exploring the evolution of NGO/industry partnerships, what’s next on social responsibility and human rights, how we make progress on FIPs, small-scale fisheries, and market access, and other emerging challenges that need our attention in geographies around the world.

This year’s program splits the conference into two parts. On Day One, we’ll highlight successes and opportunities for scaling and broader adoption; on Day Two, we’ll focus on how we’re moving forward together. Before the conference begins, we’ll hold an optional Day Zero session focused on the future of NGO and industry partnerships in seafood. RESPONSIBLE SEAFOOD AWARDS

Each year, we celebrate and acknowledge those who go above and beyond to support the work of the Alliance, embody the spirit of collaboration, and are committed to advancing the seafood movement through the Responsible Seafood Awards. Recipients are nominated by their colleagues in the Global Hub for four different categories, and the description for each award is below.

• Alliance Board Member of the Year: acknowledges an individual who has truly put the needs of the Alliance and the greater good of the community first while serving as a board member. They have provided guidance, support, and strategic oversight to the Alliance organization and staff.
• Outstanding Contribution: acknowledges individuals who have contributed to Alliance collective action or community in a significant way. 
• Spirit Award: acknowledges an individual who embodies the Alliance’s collaborative spirit, shares openly and often, and maintains a strong commitment to service. 
• Legacy Award: new this year to celebrate our 15th Anniversary, this award acknowledges an individual who has been foundational to the sustainable seafood movement’s success, leaving a lasting impact through visionary leadership, continuous progress, and unwavering dedication to its advancement.
