レナ・ワイス

Lena Weiss is a Program Manager for the BalanceBlue Lab, providing scientific and technical expertise on wild-capture fisheries, as well as other topics, to a diverse range of audiences, including the seafood industry, early-stage entrepreneurs, investors, and decision makers. She currently co-manages the Global Bycatch Exchange; a community of practice focused on advancing appropriate solutions to fisheries and aquaculture bycatch: a major threat to ocean biodiversity.

Prior to joining the New England Aquarium, Lena worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a marine ecologist and scientific diver, focusing on large-scale infrastructure projects and ecosystem health. She is interested in facilitating the integration of scientific research into decision-making processes, at both the policy level and at smaller scales.
