Becca Williams

Currently, the Director of Gender Strategies for Seafood and Gender Equality (SAGE), Becca (she/her), has worked in the field of gender equality for over ten years in various capacities, including program director, advocate, researcher, and ally, working alongside diverse groups. She has spent her career cultivating communities of care and practice around transformative visions that center resilience, equity, and intersectionality.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Becca has travelled to over 25 countries. She has worked with women’s groups in Costa Rica and Guyana to better understand the intersections between gender equality and sustainability. She has collaborated with communities in Kenya, Peru, and the US to develop initiatives promoting gender equity, antiracism, and violence prevention and response.
