Alice Thomas-Smyth is the Technical Lead and Senior Program Officer for the Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) Ocean Hub. Alice co-leads the Ocean Hub with Conservation International, developing science-based targets for industry to advance Nature Positive Business and healthy oceans. She also supports the Oceans Futures platform by drawing on her expertise in climate change and global fisheries, as well as data methodologies and modeling. Prior to WWF, Alice worked at Environmental Defense Fund in the Oceans Program, focusing on sustainable fishing and climate-resilient systems that are inclusive and benefit communities using data-driven methods. Alice has a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and a B.Sc. in Marine Biology from University of St Andrews in Scotland.
