Dr Coralie D’Lima-Smith is an interdisciplinary Marine Environmental Scientist, currently working as a Senior Scientist with the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program. She has been conducting research and working as a Marine Scientist and manager for 15+ years. Coralie has completed her doctorate through James Cook University in
Australia and has previously worked for WorldFish and WWF-India. Her specific work interests include sustainable fisheries management, reducing bycatch of marine megafauna, global fish nutrition in food systems, and fisheries subsidies.
Throughout her journey, she has had the opportunity to work with several small-scale fisheries. She is currently focusing on creating opportunities for small-scale fisheries through sustainable seafood assessments and improvement. She is a dedicated pescatarian and enjoys buying, cooking, and eating seafood!
