Peter Adame

Peter Adame is the Director of Communications & Sustainability at Lusamerica Foods, a wholesaler and processor distributing seafood across the U.S. West Coast to some of America’s largest retailers and food service companies. He’s the company’s point of contact with the Global Tuna Alliance and recently joined the Advisory Committee for the Coalition of Sustainable Aquaculture. Previously, Peter was the Outreach Manager of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program and was actively involved with the Global Seafood Ratings Alliance.
Outside of work, Peter volunteers as the co-chairman for the Monterey County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation with a mission to protect our ocean, waves, and beaches. He leads their Ocean Friendly Restaurant program, actively participates in the Monterey County Plastic Pollution Coalition, and serves on the planning committee for Monterey Whalefest. He also volunteers as the Cannery Row site host for a community-supported fishery and volunteers with the children’s ministry at Shoreline Community Church. To unwind, Pete enjoys beach volleyball, surfing, and tennis.
