Taylor Witkin

Taylor Witkin is the Program Manager for Ocean Metrics and Responsible Business, and co-leads the SBTN Ocean Hub. Taylor’s background is rooted in sustainable seafood systems research and network building. After completing his B.A. in Environmental Studies at Colby College and M.A. in Marine Affairs at the University of Rhode Island, he served as the Coordinator for Local Catch Network, a coalition of small-scale seafood stakeholders working to increase market share of sustainable, values-based domestic seafood in North America. He also conducted research at the University of Maine, exploring adaptations by stakeholders and supply chains to environmental and economic changes in the lobster industry. Prior to joining Conservation International, Taylor worked at SeaAhead, a startup platform catalyzing bluetech innovation, where he helped ocean-focused startups access resources, expertise, and capital necessary for growth and impact.
