The Alliance staff serves as the backbone of the Global Hub. The team oversees the implementation of the Alliance strategy and facilitates collaboration between the Alliance Board and Global Hub as we work together to achieve shared goals.
Ryan Bigelow
Director of projects
As Project Director, Ryan leads the Conservation Alliance’s multi-stakeholder work focused on creating solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing the responsible seafood movement. Ryan spent ten years with the Monterey Bay Aquarium where he managed the Seafood Watch program, leading communications, NGO engagement, and online strategies. Before joining our movement, Ryan lived in Japan, translating and interpreting for the Japanese government. Ryan has a BA in Japanese Studies and an MA in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
Meaghan Hudgins
executive director
As Executive Director, Meaghan leads the collective charge to identify and capitalize on the organization’s key strategic and organizational opportunities. Using a people-first approach, Meaghan leverages her expertise and tenure to facilitate collaborations and support the incubation of ideas and strategies across organizations. She brings two decades of relevant experience from both the non-profit and corporate sectors working across diverse stakeholders and initiatives. Meaghan holds a degree in Journalism from Indiana University.
Laura Miller
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
As Director of Community Engagement, Laura connects the Alliance’s community of collaborative changemakers with the resources and support needed to make more progress. Before joining the Alliance, Laura worked with fishing communities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, supported the team at Fair Trade USA as they launched the world’s first Fair Trade Certified seafood, and was part of the oceans program development team at WWF-Canada. She holds a Master’s in Marine Management from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from York University.
