The In-transition To MSC Program
In its mission to end overfishing, the MSC recognizes the relevance of fisheries improvement projects. The In-Transition to MSC program offers a way of independently verifying progress and helps fisheries stay on track to achieve the improvements needed to meet the MSC Fisheries Standard. Through the program, the MSC facilitates improvements and increased accountability in fishery improvement projects worldwide. Following the success of the In-Transition to MSC pilot to date, the program has started an expansion phase and is now open to any fishery committed to achieving MSC certification. More details about the expansion plan are presented in the talk.
