Gretchen Thuesen

Gretchen is the Seafood Certification Manager at Fair Trade USA, where she oversees global certification decisions for fisheries and fish farms, ensures Certificate Holders comply with Fair Trade USA standards, policies, and requirements, and works with accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) to ensure successful implementation of the Fair Trade USA producer standards (Capture Fisheries Standard, Agricultural Production Standard). Before
joining Fair Trade USA, she served as a Program Lead for Future of Fish (FoF), where she developed initiatives to advance triple impact (environmental, economic, social) improvements in small-scale fisheries and supply chains in developing countries. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic & Fishery Sciences and a Master of Marine Affairs, both from the University of Washington.
