Work Begins on the Alliance Social and Environmental Integration Network

The hazardous nature of seafood work, lack of transparency, and constant pressure for lower prices result in significant risks for seafood workers and companies. These issues also threaten social and environmental responsibility as outlined in the Alliance’s 2030 goals.

To achieve our goals, we’re hosting the Social and Environmental Integration Network–a series of online conversations culminating focused on advancing responsible seafood through collaboration between environmental and social responsibility groups. We believe that doing so will result in better, more comprehensive approaches to seafood responsibility.

The first meeting was held in June and we’re already looking to identify joint projects supporting seafood workers.

If you’re interested in joining the conversation, please reach out to Ryan via email to join our next meeting, happening soon!
