Pamela Wharton

Pam Wharton has over 15 years of experience as an international labor and human rights expert. She started her own consulting firm in 2022 in Washington, D.C. Previously, she was Solidarity Center’s Cambodia Deputy Program Director, overseeing 40 staff implementing programs to build the capacity of unions to protect and advance worker rights. Prior to that she worked for the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) where she oversaw the development and implementation of initiatives designed to assess and improve countries’ legal frameworks, labor law enforcement, and companies’ social accountability plans to help them achieve compliance with international labor standards. She also worked for a domestic office at DOL focused on combating employment discrimination and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand.
